Nature a back number?
Article Abstract:
The method used in devising a research funding by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) was criticized. Counterreaction to the faultfinding by the council's CE Richard J. Brook was presented in detail. EPSRC also accepted the fact that modification to the new system is needed especially after considering its outcome and weighing the feedbacks. However, it also stressed the advantages derived from the new process and accuses Nature for being old-fashioned by not weighing the pros and cons before outrightly rejecting the system.
