Perceptual learning ranges from the discrimination of simple attributes to more complex sensory patterns. Perceptual learning, the improvement develops progressively over many trials, as opposed to other, move explicit types of learning which may require only in single exposure to a stimulus.

Article Abstract:
Different methods applied to study spontaneous cortical activity in anaesthetized. It is suggested that dynamically switching cortical states could represent the brain's internal context, and therefore reflect or influence memory, perception and behavior.
