Palestinian unease sparks fresh calls for Israeli boycott
Article Abstract:
Al-Quds University in Jerusalem is the only University of the Palestinian that promotes interaction with Israeli institutions, and as of April 2005 has about 70 such collaborative projects. The survey conducted on the staffs of Al-Quds University suggests that three-quarters of the staff oppose the collaborative project as they feel that by working with Israelis they are assenting to the occupation.

Arab state pours oil profits into science
Article Abstract:
The country's head of state, Emir Hammad bin Khalifa Al-Thani has committed to keep aside profits from the Qatar's fossil-fuel for research and the region's expatriate scientists were brought together to advise on how best to invest these funds. It was recommended that the funds should be used wisely and helps create an internationally respected science base for the Arab world.

Despite political differences, scientist from Israel and Palestine are working together in various collaborative research projects. The results of collaborative project will contribute to peace negotiations within the countries.
