Patterns and dynamics of sex-biased dispersal in a nocturnal primate, the grey mouse lemur, Microcebus murinus
Article Abstract:
The predictions on the promotions of dispersing natal males and females, dispersal distances, the age at dispersal and the potential for in breeding over a 6-year period in a free-living population of grey mouse lemurs are examined. The analysis of seven polymorphic microsatellite markers for 213 individuals allowed to estimate relatedness coefficients and kinship relations.

Dispersal decisions: Common terns, Sterna hirundo, choose between colonies during prospecting
Article Abstract:
A novel transponder system is used to identify remotely all natal prospectors visiting two colonies of different size throughout the breeding season. It was suggested that prospectors select future breeding sites and that differences in philopatry between sexes are influenced by environmental quality.
