Perceiving distance accurately by a directional process of integrating ground information
Article Abstract:
It is stated that the absolute distance of an object cannot be accurately judged beyond 2 to 3 meters. Evidence regarding flat terrain distance, which could be judged accurately, are provided and this is accomplished by integrating local patches of ground information into a global surface reference frame.

Perceptual consequences of centre-surround antagonism in visual motion processing
Article Abstract:
Centre-surround receptive field organization is presumably tailored for extracting image features that are differentially distributed over space. Integration of motion signals over space depends on the visibility of other signals.

Dynamics of travelling waves in visual perception
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the development of a technique which can be used to determine the velocity of rivalry dominance waves which have been propagated round a predominantly one-dimensional, large annulus.
