Population genetics of resurgence: White-tailed deer in Kentucky
Article Abstract:
The species of white-tailed deer is widely distributed and abundant as a result of intensive restocking efforts since the 1940s period. Seven DNA microsatellite markers were used to survey the extent and pattern of genetic variation in 322 deer from multiple localities throughout the commonwealth.

Effects of impact perception on acceptance capacity for white-tailed deer
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted through a questionnaire circulated among stakeholder groups to determine their concepts for effective management of landscapes important to wildlife. Results showed that disparity existed in their perceptions and awareness needed to be created to manage changing landscapes.
