Post-mating clutch piracy in an amphibian
Article Abstract:
Studies done on 'clutch piracy' in a montane population of the common frog Rana temporaria, a reproductive behavior previously unknown in vertebrates with external fertilization is reported. Results suggests that clutch piracy could be frequent throughout the distribution area of Rana temporaria and this provides a good model to explore how alternative mating strategies can affect the intensity of sexual selection.

Context-dependent autonomous self-fertilization yields reproductive assurance and mixed mating
Article Abstract:
A complete demonstration of the reproductive assurance under variable population environments and mechanistically link reproductive assurance to intermediate selfing rates through mixed mating is provided. The results indicate that the populations shift towards selfing rates through an increase in the proportion of autonomously selfed seeds when there is a decrease in the pollinator visits.

Kin selection and cooperative courtship in wild turkeys
Article Abstract:
Kin selection can explain the evolution of cooperative courtship in wild turkeys using genetic measures of relatedness and reproductive success. Subordinate males do not themselves reproduce, but their indirect fitness as calculated by Hamilton's rule offsets the cost of helping.
