Regulation of intracellular calcium by a signalling complex of IRAG, IP(sub3) receptor and cGMP kinase I beta
Article Abstract:
cGKIbeta was found to phosphorylate the IP(sub3)R and cGKIbeta in microsomal smooth muscle membranes. It also phosphorylated the IP(sub3)R-associated cGMP kinase substrate (IRAG). IRAG was observed in tissues including aorta, trachea and uterus. Calcium release was restricted following co-expression of IRAG and cGKIbeta in the presence of cGMP.

Discovery of calcium in Mercury's atmosphere
Article Abstract:
Mercury was observed with the High Resolution Echele Spectrograph and calcium was discovered in the atmosphere nearly Mercury's poles. If localized distribution and high temperature are confirmed, is is proposed that the atmospheric calcium may be due to surface sputtering by ions entering Mercury's auroral zone.
