Responses of foraging hedgehogs to badger odour
Article Abstract:
The responses of individual hedgehogs to predator odors during foraging were analyzed via enclosure and field experiments involving Erinaceus europaeus and Meles meles badgers. Individual Erinaceus europaeus badgers that were exposed to single treatments of Meles meles fecal odor in enclosure experiments altered their foraging patterns compared to hedgehogs in field experiments. Furthermore, the responses of hedgehogs to badger fecal odor in field experiments were part of a predator-avoidance mechanism.

The role of animal behavior in the study of endocrine-disrupting chemicals
Article Abstract:
The study aims to provide a premier on endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) and summarize current knowledge about endocrine disruption of animal behavior. Ecotoxicologists have used a number of animal species to identify physiological and morphological consequences of EDC exposure.
