Roads and genetic connectivity
Article Abstract:
Highway acts as a social barrier to gene flow in two large and mobile carnivores, and it does to a greater extent than would seem to be the case from observations of animal dispersal. Many animals alter their behavior to avoid roads, shifting home ranges, feeding sites and nesting areas away from them but most animal groups still attempt to cross these barriers with some frequency, often by making use of culverts and other potential crossing points.

Migratory bands give crickets protection
Article Abstract:
The mormon crickets and the young locusts generally move in huge groups to protect themselves from the predators, which means the risk factor is reduced and also when the predator sees such a vast group of insects he also gets confused. Furthermore, these Mormon crickets are quite dangerous as they are cannibalistic and they attack anything that is not moving.

Oligocene mammals from Ethiopia and faunal exchange between Afro-Arabia Eurasia
Article Abstract:
A late Oligocene fossil assemblage from Ethiopia, which constrains the migration to postdate 27Myr ago, is reported. It yields new insight into the indigenous faunal dynamics of Afro-Arabian mammalian communities near the Oligocene / Miocene boundary at approximately 24 million years (Myr) ago.
