Saving Italian science
Article Abstract:
Romano Prodi, a candidate for Italian prime minister published a document in December 2005 proposing to double the number of researchers due to Italy's underperforming research sector and save Italian science. Its concerns and recommendations are feeding back into detailed action plans for a government science programme that could be agreed by all nine parties of Prodi's centre-left Olive Tree coalition.

Whistles blow in vain on bad practice in German research
Article Abstract:
Blowing the whistle on research misconduct in Germany is discussed. One such incident which took place was when a patient in neurodermatitis therapy test which was declared successful had been symptomless before the treatment was given.

The Danish Committees on Scientific Dishonesty (DCSD) allegation of 'scientific dishonesty' on Anders Papa Moller's finding on animal behavior in March 2001 paper is analyzed. Ecologists urged Molar's action on this allegation.
