Self-assembly in aueous solution of wheel-shaped Mo(sub)154 oxide clusters into vesicles
Article Abstract:
Research indicates that polyoxomolybdate clusters of the [Mo(sub)154)] type assemble into nanometre-sized aggregates and spherical structures. The clusters are homogeneously distributed on the vesicle surface and are not stabilized by hydrophobic interactions. Furthermore, data suggest that the vesicles form due to interaction between van der Waals attraction and electrostatic repulsion.

The medium is the message
Article Abstract:
Previous studies in supramolecular chemistry support the hypothesis that molecules possess order and organization. In a sense, randomly placed molecules will synthesize to form a new molecule that has symmetry. To duplicate this process in nature, chemists must understand the basic principles involved in molecular combination and recreate them in an artificial environment.

Systematic enumeration of crystalline networks
Article Abstract:
It is established that there are exactly 9, 117 and 926 topological types of 4-connected uninodal, binodal and trinodal networks, derived from simple tetrahedra tilings. It is also shown that there are at least 145 more distinct uninodal networks of more complicated tiling. Just two out of the total networks derived contain neither three or four-membered rings.
