Template switching during break-induced replication
Article Abstract:
It is shown that break-induced replication (BIR) occurs by many rounds of strand invasion, DNA synthesis and dissociation and the chromosome rearrangements have occurred during BIR when dissociation and reinvasion have occurred within dispersed repeated sequences. This process has promoted the gene conversion by capture of the displaced invading strand at two-ended DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) to prevent BIR.

TRAPPI tethers COPII vesicles by binding the coat subunit Sec23
Article Abstract:
The temperature sensitive sec23-1 mutant is used to inactivate Sec23p on vesicles before performing the binding assay in order to show directly that Sec23p is the binding partner for yeast TRAPPI (yTRAPPI) on COPII vesicles. The results have shown that the binding of TRAPPI to Sec23 has marked a coated vesicle for fusion with another COPII vesicle or the Golgi apparatus.
