The Value of Biodiversity in Reserve Selection: Representation, Species Weighting, and Benefit Functions
Article Abstract:
A framework is introduced for conservation selection that incorporates species weights and benefit functions for overrepresentation and underrepresentation; that is, the number of locations for individual species, and is applied to forest conservation in Finland.

Variance and Uncertainty in the Expected Number of Occurrences in Reserve Selection
Article Abstract:
The impact of uncertainty, such as anthropogenic threat, is examined for three common formulations of reserve selection, land-cover type proportions, the anticipated number of populations, and the likelihood of having a minimum of a single population.
