The Role of Roadsides in Plant Invasions: a Demographic Approach
Article Abstract:
The article assesses the variables involved in the level to which a road contributes to the spread of invasive plant species, focusing on the habitat requirements of plants and the conduit functions of the roads. A model is developed to help differentiate between random and facilitated plant dispersal.

Effects of roads on hydrology, geomorphology, and disturbance patches in stream networks
Article Abstract:
Research demonstrates that road network may affect debris flows and floods in stream and riparian structures leading to changes in the disturbance patch dynamics of mountain landscapes thus influencing ecosystems.

Role of light availability and dispersal in exotic plant invasion along roads and streams in the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest, Oregon
Article Abstract:
Results show that roads and streams provide a congenial habitat in terms of light and dispersal mechanism facilitating invasion of the landscape by the exotic species.
