The fight against fur
Article Abstract:
The fur industry continues to abuse animals from which they derive their products. Animals are trapped or bred in farms with harsh living conditions. The industry has tried to retain demand by offering cheaper prices, but anti-trapping laws and falling demand have already affected the industry.

They eat horses, don't they?

Horsemeat slaughter is a thriving industry in the U.S. despite strict regulations on the transport of horses and meat inspection. In 1991, 236,467 horses were butchered. These horses were sourced from auctions, pet owners and stolen horses. Horsemeat sells from 20 to 70 cents a pound.
