The ghosts of past and future
Article Abstract:
The episodic memory, the kind of memory that allows one to remember the personal experiences is not a literal reproduction of the past but is instead constructed by pulling together pieces of information from different sources. It is suggested that a memory that works by piecing together bits of the past might be better suited to stimulating future events than one that is a store of perfect records.
