The invisible victims
Article Abstract:
The researchers and scientists should have accurate and sufficient data in order to evaluate the impact of interventions like drugs or insecticide-impregnated bednets, to determine the effectiveness of campaigns against malaria and to improve the control strategies. The impact of the interventions could be measured by using rigorous, longitudinal demographic and epidemiological studies and through properly funded and scientifically based strategies that evaluate the use of existing and future malaria control tools.

An attack on all fronts
Article Abstract:
Proper planning needs to be formulated in order to win against malaria by developing the existing tools on a larger scale. Controlling mosquitoes, reducing human-vector contact and preventing and treating disease with drugs are the most commonly used tools but it is necessary to launch and evaluate complementary approaches for malaria control that could cover a wide region and facilitate future campaigns, thus assisting in reducing malaria death and improving global health.
