Towards a more venturesome Europe
Article Abstract:
There is a clear need to encourage entrepreneurship among scientists in Europe. The US already has a strong culture of exploiting scientific expertise, but this is not yet the case in Europe. Scientists in the US are far more likely that their counterparts in Europe to set up business ventures, and tax policy in the US favours early-stage investments.
