Article Abstract:
The role of Notch function during the formation of blood vessels in both embryos and tumors and also a new drug target for disrupting tumor angiogenesis are discussed. Notch signalling is found to be essential for angiogenesis in embryos, but not in maintaining established blood vessels in adults and hence the Notch pathway might provide targets during tumor angiogenesis.

Temporal targeting of tumour cells and neovasculature with a nanoscale delivery system
Article Abstract:
The disease-driven engineering of a drug delivery system, a 'nanocell', which overcomes these barriers unique to solid tumours, is reported. The nanocell comprises a nuclear nanoparticle within an extranuclear pegylated-lipid envelope, and is preferentially taken up by the tumour.
