When self-interest is key to a better environment

Economic incentives are being used to protect the natural environment, taking many forms, from the tourist dollar to tradable pollution permits. Many services provided to humans by ecosystems have a non-excludable character, and the economist's solution to non-excludability is in the form of assigning the appropriate kind of property rights, in a similar way to patents and copyrights.

Veganic gardening
Article Abstract:
Veganic gardening makes use of only plant-based materials as fertilisers instead of animal byproducts. Organic farming often involves the use of waste products from slaughterhouses and so its ethics is questionable.
