Wolf depredation trends and the use of fladry barriers to protect livestock in western North America
Article Abstract:
Fladry barriers were tested to gauge their efficacy in reducing predation on livestock by wolves in Alberta, Canada, and several northern US states. Findings suggest that the barriers, consisting of flags hung from ropes, may be a useful, cost-effective tool in protecting livestock from wolf predation.
