Contamination of river water by Cryptosporidium parvum oocysts in western Japan
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the Cryptosporidium oocysts. The method establishing the state of the river contamination by these oocysts in western Japan has been discussed, and the relationship between the contamination intensity and the numbers of the domestic animal kept in the river valleys has been investigated.

First detection and genotyping of human-associated microsporidia in pigeons from urban parks
Article Abstract:
Fecal samples from 124 pigeons from seven parks of Murcia, Spain were analyzed in order to detect microsporidia. It was found that there is no barrier to microsporidia transmission between park pigeons and humans for Encephalitozoon intestinalis and Encephalitozoon hellem.
