Dynamic regulation of miRNA expression in ordered stages of cellular development
Article Abstract:
The discovery-compatible profiling and quantitative measurement of short RNA expression from several ordered stages of T-lymphocyte development is described. The total number of miRNA expressed per cell at different stages of development varies over nearly an order of magnitude in parallel with changes in total cellular RNA content suggesting that global miRNA levels are coregulated with the translational capacity of the cell.

A positive feedback loop couples Ras activation and CD44 alternative splicing
Article Abstract:
Variable exon 6 (v6)-specific small interfering RNA (siRNA) is used to investigate the role of CD44 alternative splicing in Ras signaling. A positive feedback loop is identified in which Ras signaling promotes CD44v6 splicing, and CD44v6 then sustains late Ras signaling, which is important for cell cycle progression.

Transcriptional silencing of a transgene by RNAi in the soma of C. elegans
Article Abstract:
Transcriptional silencing is observed when worms containing the elt-2::gfp/LacZ transgene were fed RNA produced from the commonly used L4440 vector. Results indicate that transgene silencing depends on multiple RNA interference pathway genes, including dcr-1, rde-1, rde-4, and rrf-1.
