Expression of chimeric human transferrin-chloramphenicol acetyltransferase genes in liver and brain of transgenic mice during development
Article Abstract:
The expression of chimeric human transferrin-chloramphenicol acetyltransferase (TF-CAT) transgenes in liver and brain during development was studied in transgenic mice. The onset of TF(0.67)CAT transgene expression in brain was observed between five to ten days after birth, while in liver, it is turned on between ten to 20 days after birth. In addition, the developmental expression pattern of and the level of protein-DNA complex formation by the transgene were assessed.
