Inheritance of the "basilicum leaf" mutation in sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)
Article Abstract:
An analysis of the inheritance pattern in the F1, F2, F3 and backcross progenies of mutant and normal sunflower plant Helianthus annuus indicates the presence of the deformed leaf trait or the basilicum leaf, controlled by the Bl gene in all the F1 plants. Reciprocal effects do not induce any variance in the crosses or backcrosses. Data on the morpholgical traits of the mutant and wild-type plants are analyzed using the chi-square test.

Use of RAPD and AFLP Markers to Identify Inter- and Intraspecific Hybrids of Mentha
Article Abstract:
Mentha spicata and Mentha aryensis were used to conduct three controlled crosses. Data include coinherited markers, inter- and intraspecific crosses, codominant markers, and polymorphic primers. The method used may be applied to screen out hybrids for crops in which cross-pollination is a problem.
