It's good to be a CEO
Article Abstract:
The CEOs and R&D leaders of the publicly held biotech companies are being paid huge compensation in returns to the tremendous pressure to succeed while the average cash compensation both in terms of annual salaries and bonuses paid to biotech CEOs have increased. The stock options of the CEO are often being linked to a series of performance metrics rather than time-based bonuses and also the CEOs are compensated in terms of overall performance of the company like achieving a milestone or goal like completing a clinical trial or patent filing.
