Nuclear-cytoplasmic male-sterility in diploid dandelions
Article Abstract:
Male-sterility was found in diploid dandelions from two widely separated populations from France, and its inheritance was analyzed by crossing a diploid male-sterile dandelion to diploid sexuals and triploid apomicts. It is concluded that it will be difficult to predict the evolutionary consequences of nuclear-cytoplasmic male-sterility for this species complex.

Towards a spineless stickleback
Article Abstract:
The quantitative trait loci (QTLs) reveals that evolutionary changes in development, and adult morphology are underlain by 10 or 20genes, of which few are responsible for most of the observed phenotypic variation. The bigger the phenotypic effect of mutation, more likely is it to render its bearers unfit.

Quantitative trait loci affecting growth-related traits in wild barley (Hordeim spontaneum) grown under different levels of nutrient supply
Article Abstract:
The genetic basis of phenotypic plasticity of relative growth rate (RGR), its components and associated morphological traits was studied in relation to nutrient limitation. At the genetic level, there was no evidence of a trade-off between faster growth at high versus low nutrient levels.
