Requirement for p38alpha in erythropoietin expression: a role for stress kinases in erythropoiesis
Article Abstract:
Research demonstrates that p38alpha mitogen-activated protein kinase activity is stimulated by environmental and hematopoietic growth factors in line with general activation of specialized signal transduction pathways. Results show that the kinase links developmental and stress-induced erythropoiesis through erythropoietin expression.

Ku acts in a unique way at the mammalian telomere to prevent end joining
Article Abstract:
Ku has been found to act uniquely at the mammal telomere to prevent end-joining. Ku and TRF1 form a complex at the telomere, a specific high-affinity interaction. Several in vitro methods were used. That the interaction exists in human cells was shown with coimmunoprecipitation experiments.
