Rho GTPase activity zones and transient contractile arrays
Article Abstract:
Rho GTPases can be activated in subcellular zones that appear semi-stable, yet are dynamically maintained. The basic features of Rho GTPases activity zones are reviewed, and the implications of zone properties from the perspective of both their function and how they are likely to be controlled are discussed.

Reining in cytokinesis with a septin corral
Article Abstract:
Septins are a family of conserved GTP-binding proteins that function in cytokinesis in fungi and animals. Septins form scaffolds in budding yeast for assembly of the actomyosin contractile ring at the cleavage plane that does not appear to be conserved in other organisms.

GTP-binding proteins of the Rho/Rac family: Regulation, effectors and functions in vivo
Article Abstract:
The advances in the mechanism of regulation and signaling and the roles in vivo of the GTPase family are discussed. Rho, Rac and Cdc42 are the best-characterized Rho/Rac subfamilies, which play important roles in different cellular processes.
