Sin meets NuRD and other tails of repression
Article Abstract:
Transcriptional repression is discussed in this review article with emphasis on the nature and potential functions of Sin3 and Mi-2/NuRD, two complex multiprotein corepressor assemblies. Many transcription factors act by recruiting multiprotein complexes with chromatin sending activity to specific DNA sites.

Deconstructing Myc
Article Abstract:
Myc, a nuclear protein, is discussed in this perspective article. Myc has not been shown to be transcription factor. Different lines of research, taken together, add credence to the idea that Myc and other Max-interacting proteins act through modulation of target gene expression.

N-myc coordinates retinal growth with eye size during mouse development
Article Abstract:
The role of N-myc in retinal development is discussed. Results suggest the importance of N-myc as a regulator of growth of ocular structures during eye development.
