Structure of Pumilio reveals similarity between RNA and peptide binding motifs
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the Puf domain Pumilio which organizes a multivalent repression complex on the hunchback mRNA untranslated region. The crystal structure of this domain has been investigated and the results reveal the rainbow shaped molecule with the tandem helical repeats resembling the armadillo repeats in beta-catenin.

Protein mobility within the nucleus- what are the right moves?
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the protein mobility within the nucleus. The authors reviews the articles on this subject and presents the evidence that RNA molecules move in the interchromatin space of the nucleus by the process which has spatial randomness and metabolic energy independence.

Drosophila wingless and pair-rule transcripts localize apically by dynein-mediated transport of RNA particles
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the asymmetric mRNA localization targeting proteins to their cytoplasmic site of function. The mechanism of the apical localization of the wingless and pair-rule transcripts in the Drosophila blastoderm embryo has been developed and the details are reported.
