Systems biology of transcription control in macrophages
Article Abstract:
The major effectors cells of the innate immune system, macrophages, are of particular importance in international genome and transcriptome consortia. Genome scale analysis of the transcriptome, and transcription initiation has enables the construction of predictive models of transcription control in macrophages that identify the points of control and the ways in which they interact.

An evolution revolution provides further revelation
Article Abstract:
Gene copy-number variation (CNV) spanning 60 million years of human and primate evolution is determined enabling lineage-specific gene CNV to be identified. Primate lineage-specific gene CNV studies reveal that almost one third of all human genes exhibit a copy-number change in one or more primate species.
