The yellow color inheritance in rainbow trout
Article Abstract:
Research into yellow colour inheritance in rainbow trout has confirmed that gene A responsible for wild colour dominates over gene a which produces yellow colour. Gene B is necessary for palomino colour. The expression of gene B is determined by the presence of homozygote aa, while albino is the result of a recessive double homozygote aabb. Palomino and albino phenotypes can be identified readily at the fry stage by eye colour or as summer fingerlings and older by body colour.

Male sex reversal in gynogenetic XX females of common carp (Cyprinus carpio L.) by a recessive mutation in a sex-determining gene
Article Abstract:
Research was conducted on a mutation responsible for male sex reversal in gynogenetic female common carp using gynogenesis and backcrossing. The mutation, termed masculinization (mas)-1, was found to have an unequivocally recessive inheritance. Results suggest that the mas mutant represents a sex-determining gene autosomal in nature which initiates precocious male development in XX females.
