The information dissemination process of futures exchange innovations: a note
Article Abstract:
A information dissemination model, developed from Woodlock, Bass, and Jones and Ritz, showed that contract futures are influenced by two analogous processes, potential customer market size and the disposition of brokers to divulge information on services. Existing studies only take into account characteristics of futures contracts as determining factors of their success. However, examination of marketing mix shows that both promotion and distribution are equally important in predicting performance of new futures contracts.
