Bosnian Serbs free last U.N. hostages

Twenty-six UN peacekeepers, originally seized on May 25-26, 1995, were released by Bosnian Serb forces on Jun 18, 1995. A separate group of 600 Canadian UN peacekeepers were surrounded by the Bosnian army on Jun 15-16, 1995. The UN voted to send 12,500 additional troops to the area.

Croatia retakes Serb-held Krajina region; thousands of Serb refugees flee
Article Abstract:
Croat forces recaptured the the Krajina region after a major offensive from Aug 4-7, 1995. The region had been under Serb control since 1991. It is still unclear how the war in Bosnia will be affected by Croatia's actions. Around 150,000 Serb refugees fled the region.

Croatia plan rebuffed by Serbs
Article Abstract:
Croatian Serbs rejected a plan on Jan 30, 1995 that would have allowed them to live peacefully in Croatia with relative autonomy in the areas they dominated. The plan was created by a foreign delegation of negotiators that included US ambassador Peter Galbraith.
