'Postponement' in the logistical system of new automobiles marketed in Portugal: the brands and quality
Article Abstract:
Case studies of seven automobile companies namely Stifa, Interset, Trive, Rodocargo Logistica, Entreposto, Opel Portugal and Salvador Caetano were used in evaluating the impact of postponement on the reliability, image, and quality of the automobile brands in Portugal. Postponement methods, such as customization, is considered to be a strategy to increase the value of the automobiles. The implications of postponement on the automobile industry logistics are explained further.

Influence of the environment on innovation performance of TQM
Article Abstract:
The practice of total quality management (TQM) has a primary effect on quality performance and a secondary effect on innovation performance. The business environment plays an important role in this process, and its effects are studied based on a case study of a leading global firm. Solutions in TQM practices using innovation is discussed as well.
