It is proposed that though support for reform has faded, the scope of internal reform has a great advantage to a few businesses. First, reform of the Business Council of Australia (BCA) is required, good corporate citizenship being not just giving money to charity, but also making the case for reform that helps the shareholders as well as the society as a whole.

An attempt is made to find whether the present rash of stockmarket listings an unseemly dash for cash or simply good timing for companies and investors. The sudden surge in initial public offerings (IPOs) is partly related to the rebound in share prices since the threat of a large-scale war in Iraq.
