Architect Norman Foster expects flexible buildings to replace conventional, specialized structures in the near future. Flexible buildings offer multi-use capabilities, incorporating office space and residential units within the same building. Foster will design a tower for Australia's Bankers Trust office, which may incorporate further design innovations.
