Hercules reorganizes after Beltz buy
Article Abstract:
Hercules Inc. imposed several organizational changes, including the creation of an office of the chairman, following its divestiture to Betz-Dearborn Inc. The office of the chairman will include Hercules Chairman and Co-Chief Executive R. Keith Elliot; Vice Chairman and Co-Chief Executive William R. Cook; and President and COO Vincent J. Corbo. Under the new changes, Elliot will oversee the Beltz-Dearborn unit, resins, finance, corporate, development, international, human resources, manufacturing and technology, while Cook will focus on pulp and paper, Aqualon, food gums, FiberVisions, legal, information technology, marketing and external affairs.

DuPont announces a trio of personnel changes
Article Abstract:
DuPont Co. made three personnel changes in its corporate plans division, which is responsible for effecting significant strategies in the company. The company will see the appointment of J. Erik Fyrward, currently the global marketing director for engineering polymers, as corporate plans vice president, to replace the retiring Joseph T. Murray. Meanwhile, John W. Himes, who is vice president of investor relations, will also handle corporate plans and financial communications and will also be a member of the company's operating group.

DuPont to tie pay to results in U.S
Article Abstract:
DuPont Co. will implement a performance-based compensation package in 1999 that is applicable to all of its US employees. The compensation program, which is expected to affect about 40,000 of the firm's workers in the chemicals and specialties business, is aimed at improving the employees' awareness of the firm's profitability. DuPont's president for the US region, Howard Todd, said that the pay program, which was announced on Jun. 2, 1998, should help ensure superior performance from all of its employees.
