He's Got a Right to Sing the Blues
Article Abstract:
An investor recounts some of the lessons he's learned over a forty year career. He recounts an incident where he did the dumb thing and didn't take advantage of a remarkable opportunity. In another instance he bought too much stock in a good company. To do this he purchased shares on margin, when the price gliched down he was forced to liquidate his position. Later the stock went on to become a thorough success. He cautions against buying on margin, since it will compound any loss. Being drawn in to a stock when it is at its peak price, or when it is on its way down are also painful memories. He also advises investors to stay away from purchasing restricted, non-public stock which cannot be re-sold. Investors must realize that they will make mistakes, even the same mistakes twice.

Boot scootin'
Article Abstract:
Boots have long been a necessity of Australian life. Agricultural workers needed them for working in the bush as protection against the bindi-eye plant's burrs. Boots are vital in many military situations. They are also worn in many rugged outdoor recreational pursuits. Today they are very fashionable with young people, especially boots by companies like Dr. Martens and Airwave.
