New Vehicle Routing Sytem Uses NCR Tower
Article Abstract:
Trans Tech Services' DISPATCH-Control vehicle routing and scheduling system is designed for use in the trucking and distribution industries. The system, which uses NCR's Tower 1632 as its central processing unit, can be used by dispatchers regardless of their computer experience; the system can be learned in one day. The key feature of the system is a touch sensitive color terminal. A dispatcher can determine the best route merely by touching the locations of a given series of customer stops.
