Insider trading behavior prior to chapter 11 bankruptcy announcements
Article Abstract:
A study is presented which examines trading behaviors between Chapter 11 bankruptcy firms and non-bankruptcy firms on the American Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange. The results find no significant difference in trading behavior between the two types within five years after a bankruptcy announcement. The study is discussed at length.
