Japan's shock absorbers lose their resilience
Article Abstract:
The core of Japan's economic problems center on the length of time it took the Japanese government to finalize its bank recapitalization plan which would make it easier to close financially insolvent banks. The yen continues to surge against the US dollar which increases the pressures of deflation and the surety of economic collapse. Analysts believe this could happen by Jun 1999 or early 2000.
