Managing knowledge in global service firms: centers of excellence
Article Abstract:
International service firms will benefit greatly from effective knowledge management, especially the management of proprietary knowledge. Further, knowledge assimilation and new knowledge development can give these firms an edge over the competition. An effective way of managing knowledge is the establishment of centers of excellence that will disseminate knowledge throughout the firm. Organizational and motivational considerations in establishing such centers are discussed.
