Gas cave takes the pressure off supply
Article Abstract:
The completion of the Elgas Ltd. liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cavern facility near Sydney will restore balance to eastern Australia's LPG supply and demand equation. Australia produces more LPG than it consumes, but the eastern area, especially New South Wales, has little-to-no natural supply. The cavern will store 65,000 tonnes of LPG, enough to heat 350,000 homes for the winter.
