Office Resources: What They Are and How to Use Them
Article Abstract:
Administration is the collection, organization, dissemination, and use of information to attain the goals of the company. Administration resources are people, technology, and procedures. The attitude of the twenty-seven per cent of the work force involved in information services is vital to efficient information processing. Periodic assessment of procedures and planning for full utilization of resources should be done by putting values on office resources, analyzing office communication and procedures, giving priorities to planned improvements, and including personnel in the planning.

Wang Adds to Office Systems
Article Abstract:
Wang Computer has introduced the OIS 40 standalone word processor and the OIS 50 cluster system, which supports up to four workstations, to add to its Office Information Systems. The OIS 40, costing $13,760 (Australia), with 320Kb disk drive, can be used as a broadband network node. The OIS 50 is suited to departments and small businesses. It can share peripherals and software with other sytems through the Wang Inter-System Exchange. The cost per workstation in the OIS 50 system is a minimum of twelve per cent less than competitors'.
