Ches Baragwanath, who is retiring from his Victorian auditor-general post, will keep busy after his departure. Baragwanath will chair the start-up MSV Australia. His tenure as auditor general was often marked by disputes with Labor governments and the Liberal government of Jeff Kennett. Baragwanath said his most difficult report was on the Victorian Labor Treasurer's 1991-92 financial statement, which suggested misleading figures.

A community approach at Newcastle Uni
Article Abstract:
The accounting and finance department at the University of Newcastle has a beneficial relationship with the businesses and people of Hunter Valley. The community is very receptive and helpful to graduates whom they often end up hiring. The department has around two thousand students and ranks among Australia's top ten universities on most criteria.
