Organizational citizenship behavior of contingent workers in Singapore
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted on a convenience sample of 155 professional service workers in Singapore employed by a bank and a hospital to assess how work status affected the attitude and behavior of contingent workers. Results indicate that when contingent workers perceived their links with the organization in a positive light, they did more than what was required of them. Data suggest that when employers treat their contingent workers with respect and do not perceive them as peripheral, some contingent workers will engage in organizational citizenship much like regular employees.

Tournament rituals in the evolution of fields: the case of the Grammy awards
Article Abstract:
The authors using the Grammy Awards as a case study via a mixed-method, longitudinal analysis of the four critical processes, have demonstrated how award ceremony rituals influence organizational field evolution. The four processes considered were: distributing reputation in "situated" performances; enacting a highly charged ceremonial form; serving as a medium for surfacing and working out differences; and contracting horizontal connections within the field.
