Prince Edward Island bridge approved

Canadian federal officials and provincial representatives of Prince Edward Island signed on Dec 16, 1992, an agreement that represented federal approval of a bridge linking the island with the mainland. In 1988, some 59% of Prince Edward Island residents approved constructing a bridge.
